What Is SEO?

Search Engine Optimization, or SEO, refers to a combination of techniques used to influence the search engines to rank your website more highly for key terms and phrases.

How Does SEO Work?

SEO isn’t rocket science and we’re certainly not doing anything to trick the search engines.  What we’re essentially doing is giving them what they want to see!  When the search engine sends “spiders” out to crawl your website, they are looking are certain elements of your code and comparing it to the content on each of your pages.  When it hits a link, it follows it; hoping to find content on the next page relevant to that link.  To properly SEO as website, we will correctly format each of these elements within the code and then start to create a road map for the spiders to follow throughout the website.   When done properly, your website stands a much better chance of making the search engines happy when they crawl through the website.

When Will I See A Difference In My Search Rankings?

Simply put: No.  While Google does have a paid advertising program called AdWords (which we also have services for), this only influences the results on the right hand side of the search results, the sponsored links.  Google wants to keep search helpful and user friendly, thus by allowing companies to pay for a higher ranking it would go against their entire philosophy.  Any company that tells you they can get you ranked in 7 days or that they have a special deal with Google is flat out lying.  It’s blunt, but it’s the truth.  Do it right, do it Google’s way, and you’ll enjoy the benefits.
